“… the Miró Quartet played with explosive vigor and technical finesse.”– The New York Times
Miró is back again with an all Dvořák program. After the intermission Festival Director Melvin Chen will join the Miró in a performance of Dvořák’s folk-based Piano Quintet, one of the great masterpieces of the form. The Piano Quintet was written after he re-committed himself to the Bohemian folk idiom after turning down Brahms who urged him to move to Vienna and compose operas in German.
Tickets: $55 – $20, $10 (Young Adults 18-25), and Kids Come Free! (under 18)
