Vivaldi’s Four Seasons is one of the most-loved works in all of classical music, continually in the top two or three of that sort of list. With this program we will provide context with the Four Seasons of Buenos Aires by Astor Piazzolla, the great Argentinian composer. You will not only hear the four concertos with which you’re most familiar, but a striking, sexy, engaging, and sultry (even in the winter!) combination of concertos for violin and strings that play off the seasons theme with an added twist of exotic flair.
